Creating festive cocktails is one of my favorite things about the Holiday Season! It’s so easy and so much fun to take a classic cocktail and implement an ingredient to make it more festive while you’re entertaining! This cocktail is a pretty traditional gin fizz but with the addition of rosemary flavor to give it some Holiday flair!
This cocktail is super easy to make, and the essence of the rosemary is added by making a rosemary simple syrup. I also love how the drink is clear, and it looks so posh garnished with a rosemary sprig.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend! You should definitely add this cocktail to your Holiday Cocktail Arsenal. I’d love to hear what you think!
Rosemary Gin Fizz (recipe makes 1 cocktail)
Rosemary Simple Syrup:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 sprig rosemary
2 Tbsp rosemary simple syrup
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup good gin (like this one)
1/3 cup club soda
1. To make rosemary simple syrup, combine water and sugar in small saucepan over medium heat stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and put in rosemary sprig. Allow syrup to cool to room temperature. Remove rosemary sprig. If not using immediately, syrup can be stored in airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 month.
2. Shake rosemary simple syrup, lemon juice and gin in cocktail shaker filled with ice then strain into highball glass filled with ice. Add club soda and garnish with rosemary sprig. Enjoy!
